Health Insurance
Here is a good example of why we need health insurance reform. I am currently on Cobra and will be one of the many to lose the federal help with paying my Cobra payments. I have talked with several people on getting a policy - but because I have an existing health condition I cannot get one. Until I finish out with Cobra - well news flash - I am still unemployed and cannot afford the almost $600 a month payment it would take. My alternative is to go on state health care (which none of doctors accept). And if I go on state health care - I still at a later date cannot get a a policy because of my existing health issues. So unless I find a job with health insurance, I am basically screwed! FML!
